Cooking Lessons In Rome
Learn how to cook Italian style in the Roman Countryside north of Rome while staying in a 16th century beautiful restored "casa di compagna". Unforgettable views outside your room window of an unspoiled landscape.
About the lessons: Local women teach the cooking classes creating wholesome menus made up of country fresh ingredients. The produce is picked fresh from the garden and the organic extra virgin olive oil is produced on the farm. Your teachers use traditional family recipes. You will learn as they did -hands- on passed down from generation to generation. The classes are taught in Italian and are translated into English. We can arrange vegetarian and cooking course suitable for children. They offer weekly programs, long weekends and one day classes.

Sample Program - 7 nights/8 days
Day 1: Saturday
Arrival Welcome drinks and candlelit dinner. (it is very easy to reach us by car from Fiumicino airport)
Day 2: Sunday
Morning cooking lesson Lunch. Afternoon walk around Tolfa and to the “Castello della Rocca” perched high above the town. From this ruined 12th Century we have one of the best views over the area. Stop for "gelato" Dinner local restaurant
Day 3: Monday
Morning cookery hands on demonstration Lunch. free afternoon
or walk to the near Bagnarello, or lazing by the pool. Tutored wine tasting with our Sommelier Claudio and dinner.
Day 4: Tuesday
You have a day free to visit on your own “Undiscovered Etruria” Vulci, Viterbo, Bolsena lake, Tuscania. Late supper at home.
Day 5: Wednesday
Morning cookery demonstration lunch at Fontana del papa. Afternoon Tarquinia, on your own visit ancient Etruscan remains. Visit to olive oil producer to taste wonderful olive oil ( the visit to the mill is available only during the harvest period). (during winter period the excursion to Tarquinia will be in the morning) Dinner local restaurant
Day 6: Thursday
we provide to transfer you to Civitavecchia train station Full day in Rome on your own by train. (if you do not want to go to Rome we may offer other activities or excursions with an extra charge) Late supper at home.
Day 7: Friday
Morning visit to our weekly local market, Shopping. Cooking class. Late afternoon pizza making! Farewell dinner
Day 8: Saturday

Note: Each class meal consists of a first course as soup, hand - made pasta, or risotto, or gnocchi main course (as meat saltimbocca, involtini, polpettine, or chicken/rabbit "cacciatora" or roasted with potatoes) vegetable course (season garden), and dessert (Moretta (a special cake with Nutella, tiramisù or ciambellone or crostata or ciambelle al vino and anice) (upon request vegetarian menu)
After lunch, upon request, enjoy short escorted walk through Tolfa and to the “Castello della Rocca” perched high above the town. From this ruined 12th Century castle we have one of the best views over the area, later we stop by the "Antea" to have our gelato.
