Day1:

Arrive at your hotel. The remainder of the

day it at your leisure to relax and enjoy the

beautiful scenery.

Day 2:

After breakfast you will be met at your hotel by a private guide

for a tour of the Breath-taking vistas, a stroll

along the famous scenic coastal foot path, visit

enchanting villages, and enjoy a boat ride along

part of the coast to enjoy views of the famous

coastline from a completely different aspect. All

this awaits you on our tour of Cinque Terre.

Day 3:

After breakfast at your hotel the

remainder of the day is yours to enjoy. You may

Professional wine and olive oil tasting / 2 hours

Tasting of local wines and olive oil guided by a professional sommelier you will visit the little village Groppo located in the heart of wine terraces and olive tree fields above Manarola is the seat of the winegrower's cooperative since 1971. In 2004 one of the historical olive oil mills has been completely restored and equipped with a modern machines. Therefore this is the ideal place for a professional wine tasting, to which we invite you in the very cozy wine cellar of the Vinothek Cappun Magru.

Guided by the sommelier Christiane Utsch you will taste 4 regional quality wines, 3 olive oils and other specialities. The tasting is accompanied by a ligurian snack and you will find out many interesting things about the wine growing methods, the vinetypes and the ligurian cuisine. It is very important for us to make you feel the richness of flavors in our region and the differences between the wines of the several winegrowers. The commented tasting of good wines and the new knowledge are the perfect addition to your hikes and visits in the Cinque Terre. After the tasting you will be given the possibility to have a visit with a short walk in Groppo.

The Gulf of Poets and the Cinque Terre with an ancient sailing boat 6 1/2 hours

An unforgettable day awaits you! Explore the Gulf of Poets and the Cinque Terre from a new perspective! The spectacular tour passes Portovenere and the Islands of Palmaria and Tino offering marvelous views. A lunch with local specialities and wine will be served on board. There is also included a stop for swimming in an idyllic little bay. When the sea is calm in the afternoon the tour continues to the Cinque Terre where it ends. Drop off in Riomaggiore, Vernazza or in Fezzano in the Gulf from where you can easily reach La Spezia by public transport.

Hiking tour in the Cinque Terre

Duration: 6 hours /picnic included

Experience with us the most enchanting hiking tours of the Cinque Terre! The day starts in Riomaggiore with the visit of the village followed by a nice short walk on the famous Via dell´Amore to Manarola, the picturesque village which seems to be suspended like a swallow’s nest over the sea. In the small village Volastra above Manarola on an idyllic place we will offer you a picnic with wine and focaccia. One of the most exciting footpaths crosses directly the terrace fields accompanied by the intense scents and colors of the Mediterranean vegetation and offering breathtaking panoramic views. Our professional tour guide explains the history of the Cinque Terre and of the wine. Corniglia, the final destination of the tour, is the smallest and most original village of the Cinque Terre with a beautiful Piazza. The tour ends at the train station of Corniglia.

Cooking Class/ Prepare your own dinner -

Spend an afternoon in the relaxing atmosphere of a farmhouse Villa near Levanto in a very panoramic location in the middle of olive tree fields and vineyards. They offer you every Tuesday an interesting cooking course "hands on" during the afternoon. The secrets of the Ligurien cuisine will be introduced to you during the preparation of your own dinner. The course will be held by Mamma Piera, the mother of the farmhouse owner or by Alberto, a young, sympathetic cook from Genoa. You will have a lot of fun while preparing the authentic ligurian dishes as for example the Pansoti con salsa di noci. In the relaxing atmosphere of the Villa and its surrounding gardens and accompanied by a good wine you will enjoy an unforgettable afternoon and with the likeable company of the little group of your "classmates" you will have a very delicious dinner.

The Gulf of Poets with Portovenere & hiking tour on the Island Palmaria

Visit the beautiful Gulf of Poets (Gulf of La Spezia) with the picturesque village Portovenere and explore the Island Palmaria with a hiking tour. The tour starts with a nice boat tour from La Spezia across the Gulf to Portovenere and thereafter to the Island Palmaria. During the hike passing the colored Mediterranean vegetation you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. At the end of the hike you will have the possibility to swim on the famous beach of Palmaria. In the early afternoon, back to Portovenere, you will have spare time to find the best Ice-Cream shop or the best "Focacceria" of the cozy village. After the visit of Portovenere with our guide, who will explain you the long story of this place, return by boat to La Spezia. Hiking tour from Riomaggiore to Portovenere

Spectacular guided hike to Portovenere on one of the most beautiful hiking tours of the Cinque Terre starts in Riomaggiore with a steep ascent to the church of Montenero where you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view. Our experienced guide takes you during this tour, which lasts about 6 hrs walking time, through wine terrace fields, ancient little villages, chestnut forests and along the impressing steep coast with fantastic views. During the hike a wanderer’s lunch with bread, cheese and wine will be offered in a funny forest-bar. After a strenuous descent the medieval village of Portovenere awaits you with small streets, cozy bars and Gelaterias on the promenade. From Portovenere you can easily catch the boat to the Cinque Terre or to La Spezia.

Tour to the marble quarries & the medieval Sarzana

The marble quarries near Carrara, a tasting of local specialities and the medieval Sarzana The tour starts in the morning by bus from La Spezia. Our professional tour guide explains the history of the marble quarries, the culture, the plants and animals of the Apuan Alps. You will visit one of the marble quarries from outside and see the stonemasons doing their hard work.

It is impressing to observe the heavy trucks with tons of marble coming down the small streets and serpentines of the steep mountains. After a short walk a selection of regional specialities will be served in a cozy pub in the historical village of Colonnata high up in the mountains: Colonnata is famous for its snow white bacon, matured in marble, which melts in one´s mouth. In the afternoon a short stop in Sarzana, a beautiful little town with a well conserved historical center. There you will enjoy some leisure time for shopping in the cozy little boutiques of the small medieval streets. Return to La Spezia.
