Day 1
Rome orientation tour and Welcome dinner
Rome Intercontinental airport Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) gives you a warm welcome in Italy. After Customs you will be met by your local professional tour escort and transferred by private coach to your centrally located 4 star in Rome. On the way to the hotel you will enjoy an orientation tour giving you the possibility to start admiring all the beauties of the eternal city.
In the afternoon time at leisure to discover sights of the city on your own or make shopping in the exclusive fashion shops of the Spanish steps area.
Tonight a group welcome dinner has been arranged for you, you will experience the typical roman cuisine in a local nice restaurant. Return transfers by private coach and with tour escort are included.
Day 2
Full day Vatican & Classic Rome Tour
After breakfast you will begin a guided full day of Rome site seeing. First visit Vatican City where you will see the St. Peter’s basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums with stunning works of art at every turn. After some free time for lunch, you will have an unforgettable walking tour to include visits to Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona.
Dinner on your own and evening at leisure. Trastevere
and Campo dei Fiori area are suggested places where to spent your roman nights.
Day 3
Half day Imperial Rome Tour After breakfast we begin our tour at the ancient Rome tour starting at the Roman Forum where our guide will divulge its secrets. We will step inside the Mamertine Prison, where tradition says the Apostle Paul was imprisoned. Next, we visit the Coliseum, where thousands of people and animals perished during gladiatorial games. Hear the stories of the games that have fascinated people for years. At lunch you will experience a Pizza Party giving you the possibility to taste various kinds of Pizza with different sauces. Afternoon and evening at leisure.
Day 4
Full day excursion to Pompeii and Sorrento
Today we drive south, passing Naples, for a guided visits of the Pompeii excavations. This city which was completely destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79AD. See the beautiful frescoes, petrified bodies, paved streets and magnificent mosaic floorings of this ancient Roman City recovered after being buried underground for almost 2,000 years. In the afternoon, relax in Sorrento, a lovely town built atop the rocky cliffs that overlook the two beautiful bays of Naples and Sorrento and looking to the Amalfi coastline. On our way back to Rome we will stop at a typical Italian restaurant for dinner.
Day 5
Half day Tivoli excursion & Farewell Dinner
After breakfast we will depart for an half day excursion to Tivoli, a nice ancient town nearby Rome, to see and admire the beautiful Villa D’Este. A magnificent Renaissance Villa with a beautiful garden, considered one of the most splendid country houses belonging of that historic period. Many visitors arrive here everyday to admire the incredible waterspouts of the several fountains present in the garden. Returning to Rome you will have a free afternoon to relax a bit before dinner. Tonight a Farewell dinner has been arranged in a nice local restaurant, including drinks and music entertainment. Return transfer by coach and with tour escort are included.
Day 6
Flight Home. In the morning transfer to the airport for your flight to the USA and say “Arrivederci Roma…” like the famous song! This program can be slightly modified according to specific requirements.
